    Meme reel

    Meet Our Designers

The Meat Free Mondays team have had the pleasure of working in collaboration with the young designers at BZAR to launch the Meat Free Mondays meme competition. The collaborative design process produced a series of 24 memes, touching on the themes of health, environment, animal welfare and lifestyle.

Meat Free Monday Australia would like to thank and acknowledge the BZAR team for their generous support of the campaign and the ongoing involvement of the University of Technology Sydney.

“It was exciting and informative working on a project that is such a relevant topic throughout Australia at the moment. Also, having to strictly illustrate and design according to the multiple rhetorical combinations forced a very interesting and alternate approach to my ideas. It really forced me to think outside the box.”

“Working on this project has been an invaluable experience. The opportunity to conduct my own background research into this topic was eye opening and I found the process of working with the rhetorical devices an engaging way to frame my design concepts.”

“Through the research, this exciting project taught me the importance of Meat Free Mondays and the huge impact it can have on your health and the world. I also learnt that we can live and have a healthy body without harming animals for our food.”

“Working on a live brief for the first time was a huge learning curve for me. Getting used to working alongside an outside party, as opposed to simply working on my own and doing what I like, was a challenge. I learned a lot about client / designer relationships, and how they’re not quite as scary as they seem.”
