    jared ingersoll

One of Australia’s leading chefs, restaurateurs, writers, and TV presenters, Jared has spent nearly three decades putting the spotlight on the importance of local, seasonal and sustainable food.

Known for his uncompromising commitment supporting small, passionate growers, fishers and farmers, Jared pioneered this philosophy with his award-winning restaurant  of 11 years, Dank St Depot – one of the first restaurants in Sydney to put the farmers as well as the chef on the menu.

He is the author of three award winning cookbooks, a regular TV presenter and a sought after speaker on sustainable food.

After 27 years in the kitchen and running multiple venues, Jared is now pursuing projects that inspire him – working as a consultant redesigning menus, guest chef appearances, writing, speaking, supporting the development of exciting new ingredients and of course seeking out the freshest local and seasonal produce to cook.  As a restauranteur who has fundamentally changed the fine dining landscape, he is looking forward to changing the way we eat – outside of the restaurant.
