Our stores are very symbiotic in order to reduce waste and we have many policies in place to avoid food waste wherever possible which are followed closely by all members of the team. Whether it’s excess produce from the floor being returned to the kitchen and used in salads for our café, our organic meat is often priced at 50% off so we know it will sell rather than see it go to waste and our using BioCups for all drinks from the café we try to make all our practices as sustainable as possible. We even implemented a policy this year to bag our used organic coffee grounds as these are good fertiliser for certain plants and all our stores have bags for customers to take away at our doors.
